Social Services Program Associate I

First-level vocational position accountable for work at the county/assigned location level involving assisting in the preparation and maintenance of all county financial records and the direction of business operations in a social service program. Incumbents investigate and resolve client complaints and verify receipt collections through the computer system. Employees may work under the supervision of professional staff to assist with the provision of service planning, authorizing for services, processing payroll, and coordinating with community resources.

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 0-2 years of experience.

Social Services Program Associate II

Responsible for planning and monitoring of accessibility needs and in-home personal care services to ensure clients remain as independent as possible in both the home and community based setting.

Social Services Program Coordinator II

Social Services Program Coordinator III

Third-level professional position accountable for professional social services, which encompasses the provision of case management services designed to strengthen, rehabilitate, and preserve individuals and/or families; and provide protection and care for children and vulnerable adults in need of supplementary, substitute care, or provide full-time intake services. Employees may also oversee ongoing community based services to clients with significant disabilities. Responsible for planning and monitoring of accessibility needs and in-home personal care services to ensure clients remain as independent as possible in both the home and community based setting. Employees at this level may function as lead workers and direct the work of lower-level employees.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7 years of experience.

Social Services Program Team Lead

Supervisory-level position accountable for administrative work involving professional social services, which encompasses the provision of case management services designed to strengthen, rehabilitate, and preserve individuals and/or families; and provide protection and care for children and vulnerable adults in need of supplementary, substitute care, or provide full-time intake services. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4-7 years of experience.

Social Services Program Supervisor

Second-level supervisory position accountable for administrative work involving professional social services, which encompasses the provision of case management services designed to strengthen, rehabilitate, and preserve individuals and/or families; and provide protection and care for children and vulnerable adults in need of supplementary, substitute care, or provide full-time intake services. Incumbents remain on call on a 24-hour basis and may be expected to intervene or assist law enforcement in volatile situations. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training; work planning, assignments, and review; and performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen. Participates in developing procedures and administrative policies and administering program budget.

Social Services Program Manager

Senior-level Supervisory/Managerial position accountable for work involving professional social services, which encompasses the provision of case management services designed to strengthen, rehabilitate, and preserve individuals and/or families; and provide protection and care for children and vulnerable adults in need of supplementary, substitute care, or provide full-time intake services. Supervision is delegated to subordinate supervisors and managers or supervision is provided to professional level staff within a smaller, technically complex program. Work at this level requires the ability to perform long-term strategic planning and develop related budgets; thorough knowledge of legislative scope and program related regulation and compliance issues and requirements; and the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree, 8+ years of experience.
