Education Program Development Specialist I

First-level professional Educational Program position assisting in specialized fields of educational programs. The work involves research and reporting of problems and educational needs of schools and recommending corrective action necessary to maintain education standards commensurate with the needs of the stakeholders in meeting minimum state and federal requirements. May also be accountable for assisting in developing, scheduling, and screening of educational and other related programming. May assist to support program compliance with state and federal laws.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.

Education Program Development Specialist II

Second-level professional Educational Program position providing guidance and consultation services in moderately complex and specialized fields of educational programs. Incumbents provide assistance and may advise other members of the department staff as well as to school Administrators and other agencies, institutions, or departments. The work involves analysis of problems and educational needs of schools and may recommend corrective action necessary to maintain education standards commensurate with the needs of the school and community in meeting minimum state and federal requirements. May also be accountable for assisting in developing, scheduling, and screening of educational and other related programming.  May assist to support program compliance with state and federal laws.

Typically requires a relevant Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of experience.

Education Program Development Specialist III

Third-level seasoned professional Educational Program position providing guidance and consultation services in highly complex and specialized fields of educational programs. Incumbents provide assistance and advice to other members of the department staff as well as to school Administrators and other agencies, institutions, or departments. The work involves analysis of problems and educational needs of schools and recommending corrective action necessary to maintain education standards commensurate with the needs of the school and community in meeting minimum state and federal requirements. May also be accountable for assisting in developing, scheduling, and screening of educational and other related programming. May assist to support program compliance with state and federal laws. Employees at this level may function as a lead worker and direct the work of lower-level positions.

Education Program Development Team Lead

Supervisory Educational Program position accountable for overseeing the development, scheduling, and delivering educational and other related programming. Communicates with multiple stakeholders including producers, regulators, and the community. Employee supervision includes hire recommendations; training oversight; performance assessment, coaching, and disciplinary recommendations. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.

Typically requires a relevant Master’s Degree, may require certification, and 4+ years of experience.
For the State Fire Academy Deputy Chief - High School, 6+ years in firefighting or the fire service, and 6-7 years of experience at the State Fire Academy.

Education Program Development Supervisor

Supervisory/Managerial Educational Program position accountable managing either the School Health, Safety, or Transportation programs on a statewide level. Work involves formulating, coordinating, and supervising state and local school district programs in compliance with the state laws and federal regulations. The incumbent exercises authority in establishing objectives, standards and control measures for programs.

Typically requires a Master’s Degree, 5+ years of experience.
