Dispatcher I
First level technical position responsible for communicating with and dispatching public safety personnel. Incumbents respond to the emergency and distress calls; dispatch public safety personnel/officers; respond to inquiries by the public and other public safety agencies; interacting with city, county, state, and federal public safety personnel; and maintaining records of all dispatches.
Typically requires Graduation from high school or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience.

Dispatcher II
Second level technical position responsible for communicating with and dispatching public safety personnel. Incumbents respond to the emergency and distress calls; dispatch public safety personnel/officers; respond to inquiries by the public and other public safety agencies; interacting with city, county, state, and federal public safety personnel; and maintaining records of all dispatches. Assists in on-the-job training of lower level employees and directs lower level staff in daily activities.
Typically requires Graduation from high school or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience.

Dispatcher Team Lead
First level supervisory position responsible for the management of dispatch and emergency communications personnel. Incumbents are responsible for training and managing lower level dispatchers and communicators. At this level incumbents exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision making and knowledge of procedures and protocol. May establish and/or implement policies for completion of the required tasks. Trains all lower level staff on established procedures.
Typically requires Graduation from high school or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience.
