The CPM with Excellence program is designed to encourage graduates of the Mississippi Certified Public Manager® program to continue their professional development and to renew their commitment to life-long learning.

Each year, CPM graduates may submit a record of completed professional development activities to the MSPB Office of Training and Development. Graduates who accumulate a minimum of 36 classroom hours within the twelve-month period earn the CPM with Excellence designation (6 hours may be substituted for attendance at the MSCPM Annual Conference).

For graduates achieving multiple years of the CPM with Excellence designation, a distinct level will be attained every two years.

Multiple Year Recognition Levels include:

• Excellence Level I: Two (2) consecutive years of eligibility, CPM with Excellence Seminar, passing score on the Seminar exam.
• Excellence Level II: Attainment of Excellence Level I, two (2) additional consecutive years of eligibility, CPM with Excellence Seminar, passing score on the Seminar exam.
• Excellence Level III: Attainment of Excellence Level II, two (2) additional consecutive years of eligibility, CPM with Excellence Seminar, passing score on the Seminar exam.
• Excellence Level IV: Attainment of Excellence Level III, two (2) additional consecutive years of eligibility, CPM with Excellence Seminar, passing score on the Seminar exam.
• Excellence Level V: Attainment of Excellence Level IV, two (2) additional consecutive years of eligibility, CPM with Excellence Seminar, passing score on the Seminar exam.
